The highlight of the program was an enlightening series of workshops that saw Zawgyi team up with representatives of a leading international palm sugar buying company, to motivate farmers to say no to child labour, and to inspire them to adopt safe work practices for palm sugar harvesting. The events were rounded off with award presentations to farmers, and donations of bookshelves and educational books to school libraries for the welfare of local communities.

The fourth yearly meeting with our Palm Sugar Collectors was held at Bagan Nyaung Oo on 25 January 2017
It provided a perfect opportunity to engage with our valued partners, find out more about their experiences of 2016, and discuss the way forward for 2017.
In an effort to promote education of young children in Monsaree Village at Karen State
Our team contributed in the construction of a primary school in January 2017. We helped set up a small library for the students, planted some trees in the school compound and donated study desks and chairs for the classrooms.
Trolli Sampling Activity
Zawgyi Premier organised a sampling activity at the school of the village Nyaung Oo. It is Trolli’s mission to bring fun and happiness to kids and people young at heart all over the world. The lovely children of Nyaung Oo really enjoyed the delicious Trolli gummies from Germany and it was a true delight seeing so many smiling faces. Together with Zawgyi Premier as our dedicated and professional partner we are looking forward to bringing the joy and happiness of Trolli to more consumers in the Golden Land.

In line with this, we launched the “Keep Mountain Clean” campaign in March 2016. Our first clean-up activity was held at the peak of the Nat Ma Taung @ Mt. Victoria, which is located in Chin State, Myanmar. Nat Ma Taung National Park is an ASEAN Heritage sites because of its rich biodiversity.
The 3rd Palm Sugar Farmers’ Reward Program was held from 25-26 Feb 2016 at four villages across three different regions
